Well-researched, well-written translations broaden horizons

Whether you’re setting up an English version of your German magazine or you need an understanding of a French football player’s press conference, sub-par translations simply won’t cut it.

Top-quality English content is what sets you apart from your competitors. As a native British sports, lifestyle and travel translator, I’ll help you to avoid the many potential pitfalls of trading across cultures.

FAQs

How long will it take?

The short answer: it depends. A good guideline is one working day for 1,500-2,000 words of truly polished English tailored to your audience, but those figures depend on my availability. Creative or adaptation projects can take longer, even if the content itself is shorter, and more unusual subject matter or formats need a little more time too. Providing reference material, glossaries, style guides or a contact for terminology questions (bonus points for this!) will speed things up and ensure consistency across your communications.

I’m not sure what I need. Can you help?

Of course. We can set a time to chat and I’d be happy to talk you through your options, from translation to adaption through to writing new content. Even if you don’t have a specific need right now, get in touch so that I can advise you and make sure I’m free when you need me.

When can I contact you?

I’m available on weekdays between 9am and 5pm (UK time). An additional charge may apply for projects outside of these hours. I aim to respond to emails within 24 hours on working days. If I’m away or unavailable, I always set up an automatic response so you know when to expect a reply.

Don’t just take my word for it…

“Working with Megan has been a great decision. I appreciate how uncomplicated and reliable she is. She delivers translations on time and produces text that sounds natural, using the correct technical terms and a style and register that fits our target group exactly. She’s also proven to be flexible and take on work at short notice, which has helped us a lot.”

Eva, translator
at Digitec Galaxus AG

“I contacted Megan to have my web copy translated into English and I am very happy with all aspects of the service she provided. As she had already worked on my LinkedIn profile, Megan asked for clarification of a few items during the translation process. She also delivered a day before the agreed deadline and made very relevant comments and suggestions on the text to make it more appealing to an English-speaking audience. I will definitely work with her again in the future!”
